ALLYSON SCHURR
ASSOCIATE
Allyson is a communications professional with nearly 10 years experience in public relations, crisis communications, engagement planning, digital strategy, M&A communications, executive communications and transformation communications. She has a strong business background and has worked in a number of unique industries including oil and gas, pipelines, hospitality and not-for-profit.
She has worked with political parties designing and implementing creative digital engagement strategies which included life cycle services like monitoring, reporting, brand reputation management, response and strategy development. She also has experience in change management and is PROSCI certified in helping large and small organizations identify and implement changes required to achieve their optimal performance.
In 2012, Allyson was the Marketing Lead for an international event hosted in Calgary which brought over 1,600 young professionals from around the world for three days to collaborate and create new ideas to solve big energy-related issues of today. She also has experience planning and executing annual general meetings, private award events and team engagement events.
Additionally, Allyson sits on the board for the World Petroleum Council (WPC) Canada Future Leaders and volunteers with Young Women in Energy (YWE).
Allyson has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Lethbridge, a Masters in Business Administration from Queen's University, a Professional Business Writing certificate from Mount Royal University and a Corporate Responsibility certificate from Queen's University.
