With extensive industry and non-profit experience behind her, Sandra has a broad range of communication experience and a strong passion for her profession. Sandra has supported the communications needs of pipeline companies, energy companies, non-profit organizations, a national association and public relations agencies. She has built her reputation on successfully delivering strategic solutions, developing and managing communication projects and budgets, and delivering effective strategic communication plans.

 

Prior to founding, Catchphrase Communications Inc., Sandra developed communications strategies, managed national speaking engagements, managed and developed relationships with the media, and planned events, as part of an educational campaign to raise awareness of the importance of pipelines in Canada. She has advised senior executives and CEOs and overseen the implementation of a new brand for a national association. She's designed, developed and provided strategic guidance for the production of new collateral material, as well.

 

As a former reporter for CBC Newsworld and Nickle’s Daily Oil Bulletin, Sandra has worked with the media, as well as, managed and developed a national Media Relations Strategy Plan. In addition, Sandra has prepared key spokespersons, developed key messages and provided guidance to CEO’s and executives. She has worked collaboratively with third-parties in the creative development of a national television commercial, videos, print advertising and promotional materials. 

 

Sandra’s work has appeared in The Calgary Herald, National Post, Oilweek Magazine, Huffington Post, and several energy industry publications. She has also acquired editorial board meetings with The Calgary Herald, Vancouver Sun, Ottawa Citizen and Montreal Gazette.

 

Sandra holds a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Western Ontario and a MBA from The University of Edinburgh. Sandra is an active member of her community. She is a former Co-Chairman of the Doug Meyers Invitational Ski Race, former Race Organizing Committee Board Member, former Master of Ceremonies for U16 Ski Race, a former Founder and Board of Director for her local community association, as well as, sitting on the Mount Royal University Public Relations Committee Board. She currently sits on The Calgary Stampede Downtown Attractions - Breakfast Committee.
